Mead developed a system of thought in which he showed how his social psychology or social behaviorism is related to a more inclusive cosmology and metaphysics, in which he took into consideration the basic theories of mathematics, astronomy, physics, biology, physiological psychology, and neurology. Still, he was a philosopher who remained within the pragmatic tradition, and he dealt with all of the traditional philosophic problems usually included in epistemology, metaphysics, philosophy of science, philosophy of mind, ethics, and theory of value.
